As an osteopathic Resident, you have specific research requirements as part of your graduate medical education experience.
In many cases, you must complete a yearly research project to accompany your annual resident report. For others, you must complete one research requirement over the entire length of your residency. Being thoroughly familiar with the research requirements of your chosen specialty is extremely important, so that you do not inadvertently miss a deadline or fail to satisfy the stated requirements.
For this reason, several links have been provided to take you to the Basic Standards in Residency Training documents for many osteopathic specialty colleges; as well, the links for the specialty colleges themselves have been provided.
If you are uncertain about the requirements of your specialty or you have questions, you may contact the specialty college directly (links to the Web sites have been provided in most cases), discuss these requirements with your program director, or contact the CORE Research Office; we will do our best to assist you.
